A free Airtable alternative for looking at your data
If you liked Airtable for opening a spreadsheet and making sense of it quickly, Tidytable does that part: views as a grid, board or calendar, filters, grouping, linked tables, lookups and formulas, pivots and summaries. It’s free, there’s no account, and your data stays on your computer.
How to do it
- Drop a CSV or Excel file on the box above, or try the sample shop.
- Save filters, sorts and groupings as views, and show each as a grid, board, calendar, summary or pivot.
- Link tables together and pull values across with lookups, like Airtable’s linked records.
- Download as Excel and reopen it here later: links, formulas and views come back.
Questions
What doesn’t it do?
It isn’t for teams: there’s no sharing, no comments, no automations and no forms. It’s for one person getting answers from their data.
Where is my data kept?
In your browser, on your computer, so a refresh loses nothing. You can see and clear it under Storage & privacy.
Can I bring my Airtable data?
Yes. Export each Airtable table as CSV and open them together. Linked records come across as names, which you can turn back into links.
Is it free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no limit on how many files you open.
