Turn a spreadsheet into a web page

Sending a spreadsheet to someone who doesn’t have Excel? Download it as a single web page instead. Anyone can open it in a browser to search, sort by any column and click a row to read all of it.

How to do it

  1. Drop your file on the box above, and tidy it if you like.
  2. Open the Download menu and choose Web page.
  3. Send the .html file by email or chat, or put it on any website. It works offline too.

Questions

Do they need Tidytable to open it?

No. It’s one self-contained file that opens in any modern browser.

What if the workbook has several tables?

They all go in the one page, with tabs to switch between them.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Tidytable reads the file in your browser tab, on your own computer. There’s no server that sees your rows, no account, and nothing to delete afterwards.
